“Not even NBA Top 5”- Gilbert Arenas Makes Shocking Claims over Stephen Curry
The Dub Nation must have lost the counts for how many times people have tried to disparage Stephen Curry and a new entry has just joined the list: Gilbert Arenas.
Gilbert Arenas is a former Washington Wizards player and 3 times All-Star. One of his personality traits is that he loves making things messy and his statement would just do that.
Stephen Curry is one of the names that is known to everyone, he gets loud cheering even on road games. As they say, all great things take time, Stephen Curry too wasn’t the First Pick in the 2009 Draft but has come to become one of the most successful and popular players.
He is not only the best shooter in the NBA history but the shooter with the most number of three points under its come. The Golden State Warriors literally hit a jackpot by recruitment but let’s not deduce their decision of choosing Curry on impulse because they knew Curry had the talent and with proper polishing, he would wreak havoc on the court. They did hit the nail in the head.
Gilbert Arenas doesn’t considered Stephen Curry in Top 5 Point Guards
Truth to be told, the conventional idea revolving around a point guard is someone with good ball-handling skill, Fast judgment, orchestrates the offense, and is good at passing. So, what made Gilbert Arenas say that Stephen Curry is not in the Top 5 point guards?
Gilbert Arenas’ reason is that Stephen Curry doesn’t abide by the traditional standards. He said,
“Steph to me, wasn’t a top 5 point guard. There’s a difference between ‘point’ guard and guard. It’s unfair to the definition of what we think are point guards. His title is point guard but when you say, ‘alright Magic, John Stockton, Mark Jackson,’ those types of ‘point’ guards; throwing Steph in that category…“
Stephen Curry is Point Guard 2.0 because he doesn’t mold into the stereotypical standards rather he has shattered those standards and evolved the Point Guard position to someone who can shoot and become the greatest shooter of all time. Curry has seriously raised the bar for a point guard.
Being not only considered as the best 3 pointer shooter in the history of the NBA Stephen Curry is also of the most offensively dominating players on the court. The two-time MVP is a walking point machine on the court. If you want to spot Curry on the court just look for a herd of defenders and you’ll see him getting defended by 2-3 defenders.
Stephen Curry is not the only one in the evolved point guard race. Players like Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, Trae Young, and so are leading the league with their teams through PG.
The Golden State State Warriors are cruising this season. The neophytes in the team are launching blitz on their opponents and Klay Thompson isn’t even ack yet. This is just a piece of good news for the warriors because when Klay comes back then it will just Warriors’ show.
The Warriors will lock horns with the Phoenix Suns today at the Chase Center. The Suns defeated the Warriors on Tuesday, so let’s see what new tactics the will Warriors apply this time.
