Stephen Curry’s epic tribute to Cleveland should make fans feel bad for booing him

Stephen Curry
The NBA All-Star kicked off with the Rising Stars Contest and the Skills Challenge, the 3-point challenge was won by Karl-Anthony Towns, and an underwhelming dunk contest was won by Obi Toppin, the Dunk Contest was not up to the marks as compared to the earlier edition, and the feelings were shared. Stephen Curry, also a Cleveland native was booed by the Cleveland fans throughout the All-Star festivities, but Stephen Curry came out with class and made an amazing gesture by raising a donation.
Stephen Curry gets booed by the Cleveland fans

Stephen Curry is a Cleveland born, but he is not a famous figure around the area. Stephen Curry has faced the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA finals on numerous occasions and has defeated the Cavaliers on three of those occasions, 2015, 2017, and 2018, thus the Cavalier fans don’t have much respect for the 3-point king. Stephen Curry and his wife were promoting a new show, but were booed by the home fans, something that has never happened in any other arena he has visited, he has received the MVP chants from all the other arenas, but Cleveland doesn’t even bother calling him an MVP.
Stephen Curry was playing with the Cleveland favourite LeBron James, for his 8th All-Star Game, the Boos were coming from all over for the future Hall of Famer, he replied in a very classy fashion, “I know. I know. Thank you. Thank you.” Those were the only words spoken by Steph Curry when he heard the boos from the Cleveland Cavalier faithful. Curry has for the first time visited the home locker room, he is usually on the other locker room, “It’s mad weird being in here. “Ya’ll know what I’m talking about. I’m used to being down the hall”, said Curry.

Stephen Curry MVP on and off the court

After the mixed bag of feelings prior to the All-Star Game, Stephen Curry changed it and lifted spirits, after his breathtaking display in the game. After being booed for the entire duration of the All-Star Weekend, he was able to channel all that into one of the best All-Star performances. Stephen Curry came out with 50 points and shot 16 3-pointers in the game! He missed Anthony Davis’ record for the most All-Star points by just 2 points.
Stephen Curry really did lift the vibe all around him, he raised $558k as charity from the match. This year the format was such that the teams who won the quarter, their charity will get the money, team LeBron and Team Durant each won either quarter in the first half, and they drew in the 3rd quarter, Team LeBron raised $450k and team Durant raised $300k. Stephen Curry had his own scheme in play, Stephen Curry raised $50k by scoring 50 points, and by scoring 16 3-pointer he raised an additional $48k, and by winning the All-Star MVP he raised another $10k, which in totality made his contribution to $108k which will be sent to the Cleveland Metro School District.
Despite all the boos and the hatred that Curry received from the Cavalier fans, he did a noble thing and proved to all of us once again why he is deserving of the All-Star MVP, the Cleveland Cavalier fans will be looking back at their actions and must be thinking, we were booing the wrong guy all this time, the guy literally went out of his way to raise extra money which will be going to the CMSD.
