Zion Williamson
Zion Williamson the Big Man for the New Orleans Pelicans has gathered attention for staying distant from the team, Former New Orleans player JJ Reddick has blasted on Zion Williamson for not welcoming their new man CJ McCollum. Marcus Spears who is a retired professional athlete had words for the immature Zion Williamson.
Marcus Spears on Zion Williamson
The way Zion Williamson has been conducting himself is not getting him any positive reactions and has been looked down on by the NBA faithful. However, things are clear as to the relationship the franchise has with the big man when the franchise left out his name from the memo which was sent out.
In the latest episode of Swagu and Perk which features Marcus Spears who is a former NFL Star alongside Former NBA and Boston Celtics big man Kendrick Perkins, the former sports personalities met and had discussions on various topics regarding NBA. And they dove into the topic of Zion Williamson, Marcus Spears showed his disappointment in Zion Williamson, concerning his work ethics and also telling him to get back in shape. “If he wanna get out, here’s my thing about getting out. You can want to leave New Orleans, you can want to leave the Pelicans. I don’t know what it is, I’m not breaking any news about Zion wanting out. The consensus is that’s what everybody thinks, is that he wanna get out of there. But what I will say is; you think somewhere else you ain’t gonna have to work?”

Markus Spears also told on the episode to behave as a professional and take control of things, “Stop being a baby bro, you’re a professional athlete. It’s time to take control of everything that you can possibly control.” Marcus continued to explain things with referencing LeBron James to Zion, “LeBron has made over a billion dollars in his career because of his ability to play basketball. Zion Williamson came out of high school with the same type of hype. He went to Duke with the same type of hype and was drafted with the same type of hype. Don’t look back 15 years from now Zion, and talk about what you could have did cos you headed in that direction big fella”
New Orleans Pelicans catching the Pace without Zion Williamson
The Pelicans had built a team with Zion right in the midst of things, but things have now changed and the team has now been able to function and gather pace without their big man, in the starting of the season they were battered and won just one out of the thirteen games played, things are now looking brighter and have now got a record of 5-5 and are currently seeded at 12 in the West, and it seems that they just might have a shot at the playoffs.
Zion Williamson has been side-lined due to a foot injury for the entirety of the season which he suffered in the postseason run, where the big man had to undergo surgery in November of last year, with him staying out off the remaining of the season, things may be coming about for the Pelicans without Zion, but with him, it would have been an even better advantage.
