Torrey Craig and JaVale McGee hard fouls on Clippers Robert Covington and Isaiah Hartenstein
The Los Angeles Clippers dominated the court and got an easy win over the Phoenix Suns who are the most undefeated team in the current NBA season by 113-109 on Wednesday night. But the Suns didn’t let the game go off and made it rough by hard fouling two Clippers players.
There was nothing at stake for both the Suns and Clippers as the Phoenix were the first team to qualify for the playoffs and the LA-based franchise has fixed their position for the play-in tournament. The Suns were without their star players Deandre Ayton (right ankle soreness), Chris Paul (right thumb injury), Devin Booker (low back soreness).
For the Clippers the game was led by Norman Powell who scored 24 points while making his comeback for the LA after almost 2 months and got a lot of support from star forward Paul George 19 points performance. Meanwhile, this was also a special occasion for both of them as this was the first time since December the duo was together on the court.
During the post-game conference, the Clippers small forward Powell said, “Playing with PG still didn’t seem real to me, I looked up to him growing up. Early on in my career, he gave me some words of encouragement that stuck with me.”
