“That dude will dog you ever single time y’all step on the court” Isiah Thomas slams Charles Oakley over Giannis Antetokounmpo slander

Recently Isiah Thomas has criticized former NBA MVP Charles Oakley for commenting that Giannis Antetokounmpo would struggle a lot in the era of the 80s and 90s. Giannis is undoubtedly the most dominating big man in the NBA currently. But from start, it was not the case but through hard work, he achieved everything and all earned the title of most improved player in the 2016-17 season.

Oakley was a great player of his era while his domination in the paint for 19 years is still remarkable but his statements on Giannis seem critical and extreme compared to the way the two-time MVP is playing.

During an episode of Slam’s, No Pump Fakes show Oakley said, “He doing his thing, man. I was skeptical because he couldn’t make a jump shot or a free throw. But after what he did last year, he won me over… He wouldn’t have been a force back in the day. He would have struggled. They would make him shoot jump shots. He wouldn’t be doing no Euros to the basket and just get layups. Somebody gonna knock his head off.”

Further, it seems that one of the most legendary players of the Bad boys’ squad doesn’t agree with Oakley’s comment. The leader of Detroit Pistons when they won their two NBA championship in the late 80s Isiah Thomas doesn’t agree with what Oakley thinks about Bucks star forward.

Moreover, he actually slammed Charles Oakley for his suggestion on Giannis and said, “He dunkin’ on them. He bigger, he faster, he stronger. You can talk all that stuff ’cause you don’t play no more. You can talk all that stuff ’cause you got gray hair and you sitting on the sidelines, smoking cigars about what you used to do.”

Further, Thomas added, “That dude will dog you ever single time y’all step on the court. You may hit him hard. Okay. Aight. After you hit him hard, you ain’t got no game. You ain’t got no game.”

Isiah Thomas was the most feared point guard of his era, his efficiency, and basketball skills were the reason for the two consecutive championships of the Pistons. That’s why his statement on this totally matters. Moreover, he also believes that Giannis Antetokounmpo would dominate the league irrespective of whichever era he plays.

Thomas said, “All y’all stop it with ‘he wouldn’t dominate in the 80s.’ We ain’t never seen no dude like this come into our league. And give him his props, give him his credit. He would dog anybody in the 80s, 90s, 2000s and 3020 when we get there.”
