“That’s a Bad Memory” Charles Barkley revealed how he “Hated” this episode of Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance

The relationship between Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan has been nothing less than sour for quite some time, but that hasn’t stopped Barkley from respecting the legend in Michael Jordan, about whom a series, “The Last Dance” was released which took the world by storm, highlighting the peak of the Bulls and all that Jordan had to go through during that time as he led the Bulls in winning the championship.
Charles Barkley who hasn’t been very close to Michael Jordan lately emphasized on his liking for the show which he felt was “great, going down the memory lane” as he relived the Jordan era and the basketball environment in the 90s, alongside the fans who all around the world watched and loved the entire show.
But unlike the other fans who didn’t get to be close to Jordan during the days in which the show is based, Barkley played against Jordan and it was shown in one of the most crucial episodes in the show.

Charles Barkley who got to play against Michael Jordan and was also close to him in a brotherly way before the relationship between them went sour, highlighted something that brought about “a bad memory” in the show.
“The Last Dance” was based in the Jordan era in the 90s when the Chicago Bulls won the championship against the Phoenix Suns, which was the team Charles Barkley played in and when he lost to Jordan’s Chicago Bulls.

While in conversation on a podcast, Barkley said that when he saw Jordan’s team beating theirs in the final series, which was displayed in the 6th episode of the show, it reminded him of the bad memory, to which he said, “that was a bad memory”, after which he followed up and also acknowledged the fact that now that he sees the show, he realises all that Jordan had to go through during that time.

Barkley said, “It was always great going down memory lane. I got to like episode 5 when they beat us for the championship, I was like, “Oh sh*t that’s a bad memory.” But it made me realize how much Michael went through because a lot of these guys today don’t wanna compete, they all get together and that’s annoying.”
The Bulls ended up winning the series and even after that, the relationship between Charles Barkley hasn’t become any better, which as stated by multiple people, has multiple reasons.
