Given that form, Slam Dunk Champion Aaron Gordon has been in, in the previous couple of weeks many feel that he has resurrected to his veteran best. And the latest to justify that claim is, Gordon hitting an insane game-winner vs Los Angeles Clippers in OverTime. Given the game was being played in Denver, Aaron Gordon made sure each fan got onto their feet in order to applause the worthy and hard-fought effort of the 26-years-old.

While the Clippers vs Nuggets showdown was all about Nikola Jokic almost managing to score 50 points. Yet his hard-fought triple-double of 49 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists tormented the opposition defense whenever he stepped into the paint area. Furthermore, four of five Nuggets’ starters were in double digits, including Aaron Gordon with his 28 points.

With the game going to OT, Nuggets were against the shot-clock which separated the game-clock by 2 seconds. Given Jokic was all trapped. Also, Gordon was trapped in one corner and seemed to run out of idea to cause a game winner. But as unexpected as the shot was, Aaron Gordon shot from the edge of the court, to knock one of the most surreal game winners in the 2021-22 season. 

Apart from the surreal game winner from Gordon, the other thing highlighted and appreciated by fans worldwide, was Jokic’s ability to find his teammate and the diagonal pass he played in the build-up. Although there was more than 1-second left on the game clock, but the Clippers had no answer to Gordon’s incredible best.

Lastly, the Denver Nuggets have managed to stretch their gap from the rest of the team in the playoff berths. Will they be able to fight against the best as the season picks more pace? Surely looks like it as Nikola Jokic seems to be leading his team in an insane manner every single game.
