The relationship between Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett has seen many ups and downs, has been filled with love and hate, has gone through periods of turmoil, competitiveness and bad blood after the exit of Allen from the Boston Celtics’ team, where both the players together helped the team in getting an NBA Title. A super-team which had two of its players stay together like brothers, and a bond of brotherhood that broke with one’s exit from the team. The dissatisfaction it brought to the team was there, but the pain and agony it brought to Garnett, was something that couldn’t be measured and was visibly highlighted in the coming times after the former’s exit.

But the recent speculations of the players ending their beef came together after Allen, upon invitation, came to Garnett’s Boston Celtics’ Jersey Retirement ceremony, and both had heart-warming moments with each other, making the entire world go “Aww” seeing both of them together. The beef was ended in a sweet way with the players hugging it all out, and it seemed as if no bad blood ever existed between them both, well, even if it did then now it would be fair to assume that they both have gotten over it.

The Boston Celtics decided that they would invite Ray Allen, Garnett’s archenemy at one point to the latter’s jersey retirement ceremony, after the friendship between both of these players was seen budding at the NBA 75th Anniversary Team Celebration. This was also looked at as a quest by the Celtics to bring back together their Hall Of Fame team, which got them the championship in the presence of Paul Pierce, Garnett and Allen.
The best part, Ray Allen agreed to join the jersey retirement ceremony of his long-time rival, in order to end his rivalry, and Garnett was seemingly a big fan of the move too! Garnett during his speech thanked Allen for taking out time and coming to the ceremony, and said, “I wanna say something man, it’s good to say Ray Allen here man, real s**t…” and then said, “it’s good to see you here Ray” as the arena erupted in cheers and stood up to applaud the friendship of both the players who hated each other for a really long time.
As Garnett said that Allen would be next in the Jersey Retirement process, Allen walked up to him and they both hugged it out! It was a long heart-warming hug which melted the hearts of people in the arena, on the internet, and all around the world as they saw to brother who hated each other for a really long time, forget all their beef, and sort things out between each other.
