As LeBron James continues to build his name, debates on who is the better player between him and Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls have reached the peak. On First Things First, Nick Wright came the James’ defense on why he must be given importance as well. He said, “How about times leading the playoffs in categories. How many times had Jordan led the playoffs in assists? Never, LeBron a half dozen times. Has Jordan led the playoffs in rebounds? Of course never, LeBron couple times.”

“The reason why you guys dismiss the numbers is because the numbers is so overwhelming. So here’s what I would like you to admit, that you guys decided a long time ago that LeBron was ineligible.” Wright put his fellow panelists on blast for not nearly considering LeBron as one of the greatest players ever. “He’s done it and he’s done it while proving people wrong. You’ve made the case LeBron versus Michael is not close. You’ve said there is a hall of fame gap between the two. So that means that you even think LeBron versus Kareem is close.” Wright pointed out that Kevin Wildes was being completely biased with his GOAT pick.

Is LeBron James actually better than Michael Jordan?

Michael Jordan

It all depends on perspective at this point. Here is a small career comparison between both players of the game. Michael Jordan won 6 titles being named the finals most valuable player all six times. He won the league MVP award 5 times and has 10 scoring titles under his name. Besides this, Jordan won three assists and steals titles during the course of his career.

LeBron has displayed very similar statistics and has shown capabilities of being versatile at any position. Opposed to Jordan, the King has won 4 titles, 4 finals MVP and league MVP awards, one scoring title, one assist and steals title, and has been named 6-time all-defensive team player. As Wright would point out, LeBron has had much more success in the post-season besides winning finals consistently. It is certainly tough to break even between the two players but as of now, LeBron has started to solidify his greatest.
