“They do parades for real championships” Atlanta Braves star Tyler Matzek calls out LeBron James for regarding Los Angeles as ‘Championship City’

It is indeed safe to say, that Lakers’ LeBron James was one of the happiest personnel on the planet when Rams emerged victorious against Bengals in the Super Bowl LVI showdown. Not being able to control the excitement, King James decided to start his own campaign with Rams, Lakers and Dodgers, going into a championship parade after respective championship triumphs in the past couple of years. Which surely wasn’t digested well by Atlanta Braves star Tyler Matzek.

To those who are not aware, Lakers won the 2020 NBA Championship, while the Dodgers won the MLB Championship, followed by Rams’ triumph in the Super Bowl 2022. He took his joy to Twitter to write, “We, Dodgers and Rams should all do a joint parade together!!!! With a live concert afterwards to end it!! City of Champions”. When the same post was found by Matzek, he decided to retaliate in the most brutal way.

Atlanta Braves Pitcher Tyler Matzek lashes onto LeBron James

“They do parades for real championships, not bubbleships. Our Ludacris and Big Boi concert was lit as well,” said Matzek on James’ idea to do a joint parade. Matzek won the World Series with the Atlanta Braves in the 2021 season. It’ll be interesting to see if the Braves will retain their title. On the other hand, it will be interesting to see how LeBron James reacts (if he does in the first place) on the same.

That being said, talking about the championship hopes of LeBron’ Lakers, the purple and gold army are surely in the toughest spot. Having being deemed as the favorites to win the title, they are fighting hard to earn a playoff berth. Falling below .500 win ratio, the All-Star Game break, is the only chance for LeBron James to find the missing inspiration which could turn the fate around for his team.

Being the only player representing the Los Angeles Lakers in the All-Star Game, will King James be able to answer his critics in the coming days as the 2021-22 season approaches its business end? Remains to be seen.
