“They don’t have the will to work their way out of this” James Worthy disgusted with the Lakers after throwing away victory against 15th seed Rockets
Los Angeles Lakers have yet again lost in the league, but this time they lose to the 15th seed Houston Rockets as the game extended to OT to decide a winner. James Worthy has blasted the Lakers after what seems to have been a shocking loss in their pursuit to make it to the Play-in rounds.
Worthy is a Hall of Famer in the NBA and has been analyzing the chances of the Lakers this season throughout their campaign, he was yet again critical regarding their performance in the Rockets game at the Spectrum SportsNet. The loss for the Hall of Famer marked the Lakers lowest point this season. James Worthy’s opinion is a crucial statement towards the team’s performance as he is a 3-Time NBA champion with the Lakers, so him speaking about their performance will not be needing any sugarcoating, to begin with.
James Worthy Blasts the Los Angeles Lakers
James Worthy had his say after the game was over, “I didn’t think that we could hit a new low, but we hit a new low tonight. The worst team in the league to be able to dominate like they did in overtime. First four quarters, tough enough and I thought the Lakers played well enough to win in four quarters, except they missed a lot of free throws”.
With all possibilities, he is hoping the Lakers make a turnaround, but he is also very critical in mentioning that the Lakers do not have the tenacity to face adversity, to fight till the very end to get the win. He is as realistic as it gets when he says that the Lakers don’t stand a chance to make it to even the Play-in, after what was a lowly loss to the Rockets, “I think they realize they can’t win, they don’t feel they can. This is what I’m seeing and they can’t beat the Suns or the best teams so I don’t know man, it’s almost like they’re not dead on arrival, but they just don’t have that tenacity, they don’t have that will to work their way out of this.”

He also further said about their chances for the play-in, “Even to get into the play-in games and you might think they’ll be able to win with a healthy team, but I don’t even think, it doesn’t seem like they believe in anything that they’re doing.”
