“This city is not great” Draymond Green and Stephen Curry take huge dig at Cleveland after massive round of booing

Draymond Green and Stephen Cury
Draymond Green and Stephen Curry seemed to be in an in-match interview between the All-Star game when Curry was seated on the bench and Draymond seemed to be asking him sarcastic questions about the game and things revolving around it, which, in some way, were funny. But unlike the rest of the interview, its very beginning didn’t begin on a very positive note with Green bashing the All-Star host, Cleveland Cavaliers for how the players were being treated in an event which is supposed to be equal for everyone.
With what seemed to be a fun environment subtly took a quite dark turn with Green asking Curry certain questions which definitely weren’t taken very well by the hosts and their fans on twitter despite the original intention behind such statements of Draymond seems to be to create buzz in the city for NBA on TNT and get a bigger pay-check through the sarcastic trash talk.
With what you might’ve seen before, trash talking between players and teams is very common but a player trash talking against an entire city, and the city which is hosting the All-Star event definitely isn’t a common sighting these days, nor has it often been before this. Let us now get into the depths of this occurrence and hear what Green had to say to Curry, the reason behind him making such statements, the reactions to this statement and its implications.
Draymond Green trashes Cleveland in interview with Stephen Curry

Draymond Green who was elected as an All-Star this year but couldn’t compete due to his complex lower back injury, was present courtside while working for NBA on TNT tonight in the NBA All-Star game which in itself is a massive event for the NBA Fans all around the world who wait all year to watch their favourite players and the greats play together in one team. Draymond Green took his job to create a buzz for NBA on TNT a bit too seriously as he was watched by Shaq, Kenny, Chuck and Ernie while they were seemingly reviewing his performance as a sports journalist.

Draymond Green felt the need to make a controversial statement in the very first few seconds while in conversation with Stephen Curry as he said, “Steph, number 1, this city is not great. Let’s not act like it is. It’s far from great.” Which drew a sarcastic reaction from the man Steph as he could do nothing but laugh in order to keep himself away from trouble unlike Green who wanted to go all in on his job tonight. Even the main guys couldn’t stop themselves from laughing at Green’s comments as they were seated far away from the scene.
Further in the interview, Green went on to ask Curry the second question of why he was playing a lot of defence in the All-Star game despite being someone whose job is to shoot, to which Curry replied that he was trying step it up and pick up where Green left off as he had been out for a couple of weeks and the team needed some great defence. Curry also went on to tell Green that he was the only one who had a block in the All-Star game till that particular moment and told Green that he would give him a good run for his job when he came back.

The relationship between the City of Cleveland and the Golden State Warriors players isn’t very sweet at this point, and in fact, has never been sweet. The Warriors shattered the Cleveland Cavaliers lead by LeBron James’ dreams of winning the title twice in two consecutive years which wasn’t taken very well by the city of Cleveland. Even when Ayesha and Stephen Curry were in the city to launch their new show, they were violently booed by the Cleveland fans and things didn’t seem very nice.
Despite all that exists between the players, the city and its team, a level of respect should always be maintained by either side, and no line must therefore be crossed.
