The Brooklyn Nets are all set to compete in the postseason with all of their squad in fine form, except new-comer Ben Simmons. However with Andre Drummond proving to be a real handful on the defensive end, NBA Fans can’t keep calm as a viral video revealed the Australian playmaker warming his sleeves up alongside Kevin Durant.
Having not stepped on the court for the Philadelphia 76ers all season long, Ben Simmons found himself in Brooklyn on trade deadline day. With Seth Curry and Drummond both joining the roster, Simmons has been out of action even then. And as the playoffs are approaching, the Nets released a clip of Simmons and Durant warming up in the gym.

Will Ben Simmons step on the court for Nets in the playoffs?
The 43-second clip features at least a couple of cameos from Simmons, who has yet to make his Nets debut since making his move from the Sixers earlier this year. It did not look like Simmons took part in the squad’s 5-on-5 session. But there is no denying that Ben Simmons now has a bit of spring in his step.

Officially, the Brooklyn Nets have not provided a timetable for the return of the former Rookie of the Year to the court. However, it would not be surprising if Ben Simmons is able to return for the playoffs. If he does, we shouldn’t expect him to make an immediate impact for Brooklyn given how he has not played with his new team yet. Then again, I could be completely wrong and the Australian could turn out to be the X factor that takes this team to the next level.
That being said, Simmons has the prefect team at his disposal. With Curry, Patty Mills, KD and Irving in the team, Simmons would not be required to shoot often. But his defensive prowess can make the team stop in-form franchises like Heat, Raptors and Bucks, who have players attacking the rim. Will the 76ers-reject finally step on-court to answer all his critics? Remains to be the biggest concern for many NBA fans.
