“This league is getting soft”: Fans react to Lu Dort getting ejected after a flagrant 2 for elbowing Kevin Love

Kevin Love the former All-Star and a National Basketball Association Champion was upset and angry after his heated alteration with Thunder’s Lu Dort. After the dirty play by Dort, Love was almost ready to throw hands with the young star and let him know he is messing up with the wrong person as the video of the exchange is viral on the internet.
The Cleveland Cavaliers recently hosted the Oklahoma City Thunders at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse and after a not so close but heated head to head match-up the game felt toward the Cleveland Cavaliers as the final box score is 94-87. The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently ranked as the 14th seed in the western conference with the record of 14 wins and 32 losses at .304 as they have initiated a rebuild with most of the young guns around the league as their core. On the other hand the Cleveland Cavaliers are having a very unexpected season as they are currently ranked as the 5th seed in the eastern conference with the record of 28 wins and 19 losses at .596 as they come up as contenders.
With 7 minutes and 4 seconds left for the game to end the time was paused as teams were ready to throw hands against each other. Lu Dort being a defensive beast while defending the ball against Cedi Osman and Darius Garland was seen down on the floor but still had the possession as he was successful in grabbing it off the Cavs. But as Kevin Love also tried to have a piece of it and secure the ball for the team Lu on his way up threw a elbow towards his throat/face area but fortunately missed it by a mile or the results could have been worst. Kevin not really liking it was ready to teach the young guy a lesson and the referee on the side line reading it out jumped between the two which stopped the brawl as they were soon separated by the team and security.
Lu Dort for his dirty play was soon issued with a flagrant 2 as the officials reviewed the play and as a result Dort was ejected and sent off back to the locker room. The fans aren’t really liking the play as even though being intentional Lu missed it and even Kevin almost slapped Josh Giddey, all this softness resulted in an unnecessary ejection which ended up spoiling the game.

Twitter relates Kevin Love and Lu Dort’s altercation to the 90’s
Most of the fans are already annoyed and unhappy with the officiating this season as many a time stars have been sent off for trying their best they can while complaining for a foul or even defending a fast-break. This season there have been a lot of fouls issued on players for just trying to play with a bit more of physicality with the intention to win but most of the times the results have been a unnecessary ejection.
Unexpectedly with the exchange of Kevin and Lu being viral on the internet the fans this time have the ref on the good books for stopping the brawl and the stars in the bad books for acting soft and throwing a soft elbow even though it being intentional. The fans are relating the exchange to 90’s where the league was really hard as hand-check was a part of the game and players where allowed to body and play with more physicality. It was also not that easy for a player to get a technical back in those days compared to today.
