Charania said, I’m told Philadelphia is expected to be interested in and pursue James Harden. The Rockets star, who Daryl Morey has history with, but as will other teams’ also express interest. As of right now, it is an empathic ‘NO’ from the Rockets side.

“It’s really a non-starter for the organization. Daryl Morey though has a history to be active on the trade market pursuing the different opportunities that may exist out there, and I wouldn’t expect it to be any different, now that he is in Philadelphia.”

Harden has hit the ground running ever since he was traded in the Rockets from the Thunder. Now even Rusell Westbrook was brought, with the only aim of lifting the championship. But given the humiliating exit via the hand of LA Lakers, it clearly displayed that the Rockets as well their magical duo need a lot of work to be done. However, if the Rockets do decide to trade Harden away, it would an indication for a rebuild. That means Westbrook will be next on the radar to get cap flexibility.
