NBA Trade Rumors: Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami Heat?
Milwaukee Bucks vs Miami Heat
The team from Miami was the least expected to make it to the playoff conference finals, ahead of Milwaukee Bucks. But the sport of Basketball never fails to amazes. The Miami Heat ran a storm over Bucks, defeating them 4-1 in the series to acquire a place in the Eastern Conference Finals. With being just 2 wins away from lifting the championship, Heat would surely be one of the favorites in the upcoming season. After having Crowder, Butler, Herro and Adebayo as their marquee players, Heat has no team superior to them at least on paper.
As far as the 2-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is concerned. He might’ve won the individual trophies, but the Greek Freak is far from his ultimate objective. Which is to make the Bucks lift the NBA Championship. But the main question remain where would Giannis Antetokounmpo be for the next season?
As per Ashley Nicole, Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready to sign a long-term deal with the Heat. Since Giannis will enter free agency in 2021. The deal might occur before that because the Bucks don’t want to end up empty-handed.
Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami Heat?
Antetokounmpo has tried everything possible to win a title with the Bucks. But there have been no great results. With Warriors in the rumoured trade picture as well, it could only mean Giannis either heading to Miami Heat or the Golden State Warriors. If that is not the case, he would sign a long-term deal with the Bucks.
But if Heat want to acquire a probable dream team player. They would have to let go off an All-Star to manage their wage pay. They could let go off Bam Adebayo. But nothing is certain and can be firmly said. However, it is all up to time to tell.
Do you think it’s in the best interest for Giannis to sign with Miami Heat and improve his chances of winning a title? Or should he wait on the Bucks to build a better team that he can lead?
