Twitter hails Matisse Thybulle as DPOY as he shuts down Stephen Curry in Golden State Warriors vs Philadelphia 76ers showdown
In the recent match-up of Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers, Matisse Thybulle stepped up while shutting down Stephen Curry and his efforts resulted in a win for the 76ers. The Philadelphia 76ers are currently ranked on 6th position after the game with the record of 15-12(W-L) in the eastern conference and Golden State Warriors shifted down to the 2nd place in the western conference with the record of 21-5(W-L).
Matisse Thybulle came up big and led the defensive end of Philadelphia 76ers while giving a tough time to Stephen Curry on the offensive end especially while attempting shots. Stephen Curry was seen helpless when defended by the Sixers 6 ft. 5 inches forward. Thybulle started the game on Curry and was on a mission to stop him while putting every effort he can.

Matisse Thybulle held Steph Curry to 2/13 shooting in their individual matchup. He also became the only player who has blocked two Steph Curry 3-point attempts in the same game. The young forward for Philadelphia 76ers showed his defensive potential while making a strong case for Defensive Player Of The Year (DPOY) award while guarding Golden State Warriors’ star Stephen Curry.
Earning second team All-Defence honours in his sophomore season Matisse Thybulle is set to run for the DPOY award. In his matchup against the Warriors with Stephen Curry who was all set to break the 3-point record he unexpectedly stepped up while not just going hard on the defensive end but locking up the greatest shooter of all time.

Matisse Thybulle being 6 ft. 5 inches and having a near seven-foot wingspan, his length alone is enough to slow down players. This when combined with his special defensive IQ where the guy at the other end is locked that hard that he can’t even space out makes him a perfect defender running for DPOY. His long limbs are enough to contest and block shots.
Philadelphia 76ers now have a great defender with them which is making the defensive end stronger and even Philadelphia’s star center Joel Embiid recognised his potential to be a DPOY and the efforts were also backed by Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Matisse Thybulle if comes up a bit better on the offensive end too he will be one of the best forwards of the league currently he is averaging 5.7 PPG, 2.3 RPG and 1.1 APG.
