Michael Jordan is regarded as the Greatest of All-time in the NBA, who won 6 titles with the Chicago Bulls during his time in the NBA. Everybody was taking inspiration from Michael Jordan and wanted to be like him, ‘Be like Mike’. Kobe Bryant was one of the many names that Michael Jordan was able to inspire, Kobe was so inspired by Michael Jordan he played in the NBA and not just played, he is regarded as the second-best player after Michael Jordan, Kobe is also known as the ‘Mamba’. During Kobe’s time, he shared a special relationship with his Airness from early on in his career. Kobe considers Michael Jordan as his Mentor, and the feelings were mutual from Michael Jordan, who took him under his wings as his Mentee.

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were like a brother, Kobe in his farewell speech spoke about his relationship with Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan was in attendance when Kobe Bryant was being inducted in the Hall of Fame.

Kobe Bryant was honored at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, where Vanessa in honoring her late husband and daughter Gianna Bryant brought forward a special award. Michael Jordan who was a brother to Kobe shared a heartwarming hug that melted the hearts of the crowd. Even at Kobe’s memorial Michael Jordan was present and got emotional during his speech and shared a small moment with everyone who attended the memorial, “for whatever reason, always tends to get in your stuff. Your closet, your shoes, everything. It was a nuisance if I can say that word. But that nuisance turned into love over a period of time.”

The NBA All-Star 2022 presented a special award in the remembrance of the late Kobe Bryant by naming the “All-Star MVP trophy as Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP Award”.
