Warriors’ star Stephen Curry’s instant and true reaction to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on Live TV

If there is one man who surely displayed where and when the limit to all jokes upon family and wife needs a stop, it is legendary actor Will Smith. Who has been the hot topic worldwide ever since he decided to go on the stage and smack the life out of Chris Rock for using his wife’s bald head reference in G.I.Joe. That particular moment on Live TV could not be believed even by Golden State Warriors’ marquee Stephen Curry. 

Safe to say, after delivering a tasteless and awful joke, Will Smith was not having any of Chris Rock’s nuisance and decided to take matters in his own hand. Little did anyone, including Stephen Curry knew, Smith got on the center of the stage and assaulted his companion. However, Curry decided to acknowledge the good part of the altercation, which surely had no winners.

Stephen Curry on Will Smith coming out to assault Chris Paul during Oscars 

Late Sunday night, Curry took to Twitter to react to the situation. He points out the message Denzel Washington gave Will Smith, which is advice everyone needs to hear. The Warriors’ guard took it to heart, as it’s certainly a message many will remember forever. 

Should Chris Rock have made that horrible JI Jane joke? A Big No. Should Will Smith have committed assault on live television? Absolutely Not. Neither celebrity looks good in this outcome so it’s important to take the good from the bad. Denzel Washington gave one of the best messages anyone has ever heard to Smith, which is what the Warriors guard points out. 

That being said, as per Variety, Chris Rock has “declined to file a police report following an altercation with Will Smith at the 94th Academy Awards.” So, that likely means many will simply move on with their lives after what transpired at the Oscars. Unsurprisingly, there will be a rather large elephant in the room whenever Chris Rock and Will Smith share the same space.
