“Watch me win the championship like that” Devin Booker trash-talks Dillon Brooks only to get a TECH

Devin Booker
Devin Booker’s exceptional performance was not enough to bring the victory for the Suns in the showdown of the top two leading teams of this season. The shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies showed some extraordinary performance against the most dominating team of the current NBA season by edging them out by 122-114 on Friday night, which has even extended their winning streak to seven.

Whenever the top two teams come for a game, it always gets exciting as this pretty much summarizes the scenario in the playoffs and it seems that the Grizzlies have won this pre-playoff battle against the Phoenix Suns. For the Grizzlies, Dillon Brooks led the team by scoring 30 points, he even made a deep three-pointer when only 32 seconds were left in the game, which brought Memphis to an eight-point lead.

The game was full of back and forth, no team was allowing the other to get a larger lead, but there were also many incidents where players were showing some great moves while scoring. Though a great game was seen between the Suns and Grizzlies, the incident which caught more eyes was when the two most scoring players of the respective team had a little smack talk exchange.
They were Devin Booker and Dillon Brooks; both were leading their team and were even guarding each other during the game. The trash-talking between them started when only two minutes were remaining in the third quarter of the game. What happened was when Booker made a successful midrange jump shot, he was fouled by Brooks which the Suns marquee didn’t appreciated and had some harsh conversation with him. But the refs standing nearby noticed it and gave a technical foul to the Suns’ Guard.
Meanwhile, Dillon Brooks got the free throw after a technical foul which he successfully attempted, but on the other side, Booker missed the free throw which he got when Brooks fouled him, seeing the Suns’ guard missing a free shot Brooks started celebrating it.

Coming back to the game, the Suns were with full strength and Devin Booker led the way with his 41 points, but despite being without star players like JA Morant, Desmond Bane Steven Adams, Tyus Jones, and Jaren Jackson Jr. the Grizzlies still managed to outscore Phoenix which clearly shows what type of weapons the franchisee have kept in their bag for the deep playoffs run.
