Watch: Twitter reacts to LeBron James’ Iconic “Chase Down” re-creation in Lakers vs Magic
The consternation revolving around LeBron James and the LA Lakers’ performance is no new thing; it has been there since this year’s pre-season. After the Lakers went 0-6 this preseason, a seed of doubt was planted but teams often don’t play well in the pre-season to prevent them from acquiring any injuries. But that seed soon broke its dormant state and now clutches the entire Lakers. The Lakers are not what they are being expected to be: the star teams with seasoned veterans on the roster.
A team that has assembled players like LeBron Jams, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, Malik Monk, Talen Horton Tucker, etc. is unable to even win against teams that are not even close to their skill-set.
With consistent poor performance, the team still gives the Lakers Nation some snippets to be happy as Larry.
LeBron James recreated his iconic Chase down
The LA Lakers hosted the Orlando Magic at the Staples Centre last night. Three minutes down into the 2nd quarter, Russell Westbrook drives into Magic’s defense for a layup but is heavy defense and hence loses the ball. The Magic having possession of the ball goes for a full-on offense led by R.J Hampton. He opts for a safe layup.
The run-up was good, the ball execution was good but the only thing that Hampton failed to take notice of was the 4 time MVP LeBron James running behind him and waiting for the perfect opportunity to hit the nail in the head. Lebron blocks Hampton in the same way he blocked he blocked Andre Iguodala during the NBA 2016 Finals.

LeBron James is averaging 26 points per game with 5.8 rebounds and 6.9 assists. His timing of tapping the ball mid-air and blocking Hampton’s shot once again proved that age is just a number for King James. The former NBA Champion is turning 37 this year but is still giving all in despite the injuries and unproductively slumps.
The LA Lakers went on to register their 15th win of this season by 106-94 against the Orlando Magic. LeBron scored a triple-double with 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Russell Westbrook and Talen Horton both scored 19 points with Carmelo Anthony scoring 13 for the Lakers. Anthony Davis was again absent on the court due to his knee soreness.
The LA Lakers will face the Dallas Mavericks for their next match-up.
LeBron James’ iconic Chase down teleports Lakers nation back in 2016. Fans took on Twitter to rejoice at this chase down.
