Kevin Porter Jr has become a popular name for all modern-day basketball and NBA fans after he knocked a game winning 3-pointer to ensure Houston Rockets’ impressive victory over Washington Wizards in the 2021-22 season. But he was brought to the Houston Rockets afterwards in the successive month of January. This 22-year-old superstar is appreciated by a lot of active and former players as he has been evident in revealing his emotional journey. Bryan Kevin Porter pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of a 14-years-old teenage girl in 1993. For which he was sentenced to jail for 4 years. He was sentenced to prison just 15 months after Porter Jr’s eldest sister was born. The primary witness told the jury that Bryan Kevin Porter had threatened to shoot the girl in the car and later pulled the trigger. 

Eventually the same personnel changed the version of his story later on, claiming that she was pressured by the family of the 14-year-old victim. When him pleaded guilty, a 4-year-jail sentence was issued. 

Kevin lost his father at a very young age and has shown immense courage in making his way among the best hoop players in the world. Now when Wizards broadcaster decided to utter the ‘trigger’ remark, one can imagine the seriousness of the issue as LeBron James too called out Glenn Consor for his atrocity. 

Bryan Kevin Porter died in 2004 shooting in Seattle with five gunshot wounds. At the time of his death, Kevin Porter Jr was only four years old. The former was a great athlete during his schooling days and played various sports at Rainer Beach High School.
