“Will forget about Michael Jordan like we did about Kareem Abdul Jabbar”: Dwayne Wade makes huge revelation on G.O.A.T debate
Michael Jordan, Dwayne Wade, Kareem Abdul Jabbar
No matter what the era is, the hottest and most discussed topic among NBA fans, players, and sports analysts is still, “who’s the GOAT?” In a recent time when we think about the greatest of all time player to ever play in the NBA Michael Jordan and LeBron James takes the most of the attention and we ignore the fact that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was as dominant as them in his era.
To those who are not aware, Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s NBA career stats are more impressive than LeBron James and Michael Jordan but still, NBA fans don’t consider him as the GOAT. Although he retired in 1989, he is still the leading point scorer in NBA, his record of 38,387 points is still undisputed even after 33 years.

Dwayne Wade expresses his viewpoint on G.O.A.T debate
Recently, Miami Heat’s legend Dwayne Wade, while talking about the GOATs of the NBA on a podcast shared an interesting viewpoint of his on different players and differences in their era, game, and why fans forget them as time passes.
Wade said, “Yes, it does. I mean like, of course. These GOATs, these names that we throw out, it’s not gonna just be a lot of those players. But the game continues to keep moving forward. And so we are gonna continue to see things that we have never seen before. And the eyes are gonna get younger and younger.”
Further, Wade added, “We are not going to have a conversation about the GOATs. Now it’s going to be the younger, younger, younger generation. And they’re gonna forget about Jordan like we forget about Kareem.”

Why world will never forget Michael Jordan?
Kareem Abdul Jabbar in his whole 21-year NBA career won six NBA championships same as Michael Jordan but people give more attention to Jordan than Kareem. So, the views that Dwayne Wade expressed are true because today we don’t include many legends in the list of GOATs like Wilt Chamberlain who averaged 48.5 minutes and 50 points in a single season, and Bill Russell who won 11 NBA championships for the Boston Celtics.
But forgetting Michael Jordan looks quite impossible as he was a new face who popularized NBA to the emerging world in the 90s which increased the fan following of the NBA and his presence on social media is still growing his popularity among the youth of the world which is clearly not the case for any other NBA legend.
