“Wounded Lion Still Deadly” Twitter reacts to Stephen Curry playing through a Nasty Nose-Shattering injury

Stephen Curry of late has looked like he is onto something as far as a good form and rhythm is concerned. He had been having some rough games throughout the month of January. Thursday night game against the Kings was going fine for him performance-wise, but that did not stop the night to get rough for Curry. All ended well for the Warriors as they beat the Sacramento Kings 126-114 at home on Thursday.
During the game, in the 4th Quarter, the Warriors had already sealed the win as they were leading the Kings 120-103 with about four minutes remaining. As Stephen Curry was dribbling, he got imbalanced and tripped. While coming down due to the trip, he fell nose-first on Buddy Hield’s hand, who was defending him then. Curry’s nose started bleeding but he continued to play despite it.

Curry was evidently struggling with the bloodstream flowing down his nose. It was such a hard bump that even brought tears to Curry’s eyes. However, even after the bump, Curry still stole the ball on one of the plays and even laid it in for an open layup. Soon after the bucket, the Warriors called the timeout and Curry did not play after that as he went to the bench. Twitter fans were furious about Curry not getting the foul call whils some had their hilarious takes about this incident:

Stephen Curry scored 20 points on 63% shooting from the field and 57.1% from three-point range. In the previous game that he played, Curry showed his vintage self as he exploded for 40 points on 56% from the field and 50% from downtown. The Baby-faced Assassin has been struggling with his efficiency since the start of the year. In January, Curry averaged 22 points per game on 38.5% shooting overall from the field, 32% from the three-point line, and 88% from the charity line.

Klay Thompson had his best game since his return as he got hot early on in the game. Klay played for 10 minutes in the first half and scored 20 points in that span. He also made his first six three-pointers attempted and finished overall with 7-8 from the field in the 1st half. The Warriors will next face the Oklahoma City Thunder in Oklahoma on Monday.
