We all know LA Lakers are struggling this year despite LeBron James’ one-man show in every game yet it’s difficult to say whether the Lakers will even make it to the playoffs or not. According to the current stats, if the playoff starts today Lakers will just qualify for it and will get drawn with the Memphis Grizzlies.
In this NBA season, the Lakers were only able to win one out of four games played against the Grizzlies, every time they faced each other the Grizzlies crushed the Lakers except the first game which they lost due to JA Morant missing a free throw. Therefore, in the current scenario if they fought in the playoffs the Memphis Grizzlies are considered as favorites.

Jalen Rose choses LeBron James’ Lakers over the Memphis Grizzlies
Former NBA MVP Jalen Rose has some different opinions on the situation as he goes on to choose Lebron James’ LA Lakers over the Grizzlies to win the first round. As per ESPN, according to Rose, he would prefer LeBron James as he carried the whole load of the team on his own, and once Anthony Davis recovers from his injury and makes a comeback it will be a huge boost to the Lakers campaign.
Jalen Rose said, “If AD was healthy, you gotta go with LeBron the way he’s playing right now… If Anthony Davis and LeBron James the way he’s playing in the playoffs, you can’t with a straight face, if you’re me, pick against them right now against Memphis.”

When will Anthony Davis comeback to the LA Lakers?
Anthony Davis’ comeback might indeed release the stress from LeBron’s shoulder and even increase their chance to play in the 2022 NBA finals. Currently, Anthony Davis is in rehab recovering from his knee injury which he faced during the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on 17th December 2021.
At the end of January, it is expected that Anthony Davis will be cleared and might return to the Lakers side and his rejoining will boost the morale of the team.
Let’s see how the Lakers will manage to win the games until their star center makes comeback to the court.
