Shaquille O’Neal reveals the hilarious Google investment story to Ellen DeGeneres
Talking about the great investments of Shaq when Ellen DeGeneres questioned him about his Google investment replying to it the Big Diesel quoted: “So one time, this was like when I first got to LA almost like ’93, ’94. So I am in the Four Seasons Hotel and I’m playing with somebody’s kid and they’re in the meeting. So I’m playing with the kid at the next table…I’m actually babysitting the guy’s kid while he’s in the meeting. So after the meeting he says, you know what? You’re good with kids. I like you imma bring you in on this investment and it was called Google. He said in the future, you’re going to be able to type on your phone search engine this do this, boom, boom, boom. You should invest. I invested and then a couple of years later I got a really big return.”
Ellen DeGeneres listening to the story quoted: “Good for you. That’s amazing. See, you just play with kids sometimes and it pays off. You never know who the parents are.” Shaq is still on Google’s board as he enjoys his returns from that early investment till today. In the interview alongside Ellen, he also mentioned how he uses his 76,000 square feet big mansion. While also sharing the rules he has made for his kids where two educational degrees will provide them a part of his wealth since he wants them to be independent.
