NBA youngsters should be EMBARASSED of 39-year-old LeBron James making triple doubles, claim veterans

Lebron James continues to dominate the NBA. He is the oldest active player in the league and yet performs at his best. As the league continues to see a wave of young superstars coming in, NBA veteran Rashad McCants had some harsh words for the rest of the league.
LeBron James has coasted his way to averaging 20.0 points, 7.5 assists, and 7.0 rebounds in the early goings of the 2024-25 season. However, his signature performance came against the Sacramento Kings earlier this week. After a dominant fourth-quarter performance against the Kings, McCants called out the rest of the NBA for ‘allowing’ the 39-year-old James to dominate the league.

McCants called out the young talent in the league for not matching up to an older LeBron James. Given the wave of young stars in the league, he found it embarrassing to see James easily dominate the rest of the league.
Show host and former NBA player Gilbert Arenas also joined the conversation. He praised James still playing at a high level, even through his athletic decline.
He’s 40. I mean, he still makes it look like it’s easy, he’s just smarter now, right. He’s not, you know, doing what he did when he was in his 20s. So yeah, he declined a long time (ago), he’s been declined. He’s 40.
Gilbert Arenas expressed
James finished the game against the Sacramento Kings with 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists to record his first triple-double of the year. He capped off the game with 16 points on 6/6 shooting alongside six assists and five rebounds in the fourth quarter alone.
LeBron James gears up for hometown return with son Bronny James
James has had a rollercoaster week. After a dominant outing against the Sacramento Kings, the Lakers superstar followed it up with an off night, scoring just 11 points in a loss against the Phoenix Suns.
However, the 39-year-old star will look to make a big impact when he plays in his hometown in Cleveland on Wednesday night. It will be a special night for LeBron, who may share the floor in his hometown with his son Bronny James.
It’s definitely going to be very special to be back home and be able to run the floor with my son spent a lot of time on that floor throughout my days when I played there for 11 years.

Lebron appeared in 849 games across 11 seasons for the Cleveland Cavaliers. After being drafted by the team in 2003, he departed in the 2010 offseason to join the Miami Heat. He would return to Cleveland in 2014, delivering the franchise’s first NBA title in 2016.
During his time in Cleveland, James averaged a staggering 27.2 points, 7.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds. It will be quite the occasion to see The King return to the hardwood in his hometown alongside his son.
