The 2021-22 off-season was nothing short of a climax-roster-rebuild for the purple and gold. Wherein many speculated LeBron James to have played a huge part. If you don’t believe so, then perhaps one of the members of NBA 75 Team just revealed it. Carmelo Anthony considers the real GM of the Los Angeles Lakers to be LeBron James when the King called Carmelo to join him in the Los Angeles Lakers.
LeBron James is the Recruiter for teams
LeBron since his time in the NBA has been a prominent figure and has made a name for himself to be recruiting star Players to join him in teams. The most famous move that LeBron James was able to pull off was when he was signed by the Miami Heats. LeBron James was able to get Chris Bosh in Miami to pair alone with himself and Dwayne Wade. The move from Lebron in bringing Chris Bosh to the south beach paid off, which eventually ended his drought for an NBA title for the 4 times MVP. Miami Heats won 2 Championships with the three kings, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.
For when he was moving back to Cleveland he was taking on a big task, which was to bring the NBA crown to Cleveland Cavaliers, he did so by bringing alone Kevin Love who then replaced Andrew Wiggins, this again paid dividends when LeBron James delivered on his promise to bring a title home for the very first time in the Franchise’s history. Now at Los Angeles Lakers, he brought along with him Anthony Davis to the Lakers from New Orleans Pelicans, and again it was the outcome of delivering a title to the Lakers as well. Things were so hot when he brought on Anthony Davis, he was made a meme ‘LeGM’ which was all over the social media for having more influence on deals rather than the management.

Carmelo Anthony calls LeBron James the real GM
Carmelo Anthony recently spoke with ‘nbacounty’, and this time he was the guest on the show. In the video, he said that LeBron James had called him to recruit him to the Los Angeles Lakers, “I need you, the time is now.” In response to this, Carmelo said, “You’re the GM.” Carmelo didn’t believe it himself but went on to say, “It was a real call, though. It wasn’t like no B.S. I wasn’t expecting it from him. I mean we talked about it years before about getting together with each other, but now I heard it.”
Its true that who wouldn’t want to play with LeBron James who is probably one of the greatest of all time in the NBA if not the greatest. He calls players to team up with them, and the fact is that his recruitment does tend to pay off and let us be honest he was able to deliver titles to 3 teams and especially to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
