When it comes to star kids, the spotlight often becomes synonymous with their names. But the spotlight cannot be blamed entirely when that star kid is named Shedeur Sanders, as he received a handful of reactions from Nebraska Cornhuskers fans when he left the field in the middle of the game.

When the Colorado Buffaloes’ last season ended at 4-8, head coach Deion Sanders made many promises for the next season, which also gave him time to adjust the team according to him and restrategize. But barely coped with North Carolina in week 1 but in week 2, things got worse facing quarterback Dylan Raiola and Nebraska, resulting in an embarrassing 28-10 defeat.

Till the first half, the Buffaloes’ offense failed to put any points on the board but what caught everyone’s eyesight was seeing Sanders leave the field before the game ended.

In the final two minutes remaining in the game, Sanders was replaced by backup Ryan Staub as he went into the locker room after sustaining a huge hit by a Nebraska defender. Surrounded by Colorado personnel, as the senior quarterback was moving towards the locker room, Nebraska fans’ began shouting and booing him.

A video from the incident is making waves on the internet, where the Nebraska fans were calling out Sanders for leaving games before it even finished. One fan was heard yelling, “See ya,” while some screamed “F*** you,” at the quarterback. At the very last moment, just as he passed through the crowd, one fan wittingly shouted at him, “Shedeur, what time is it?

The ‘time’ comment from the fan was in reference to Sanders’ infamous incident from last season, where he was seen flaunting his Rolex watch live on the camera just moments after scoring a 36-14 victory against Nebraska.

Buffaloes again fail to protect quarterback Shedeur Sanders in defeat

In the week 2 game of the college football was quite upsetting for Colorado, especially in terms of Sanders’ performance. His offensive line failed to back up, resulting in him getting sacked five times in the game. Though he did manage to complete 23 out of 38 passes for 244 yards and one interception, Coach Prime pulled him off the field in the final moments of the match.

Since the Colorado head coach put in a great amount of work and effort in improving the team’s offensive line and strategy, he was utterly disappointed following Sunday’s game. Despite adding strong backing to protect quarterback Shedeur, the team failed to stand by.

The Buffaloes stand at 1-1 after two weeks of this season and are headed for their week 3 game against the Colorado State Rams. As the team is making the same mistakes as before and considering Coach Prime realized it, the coming Rocky Mountain showdown might show a revised game strategy by Colorado.
