Khamzat Chimaev vs Neil Magny
Neil Magny fought and defeated Geoff Neal in a three-round contest at UFC Vegas 26. Magny was coming off from a loss against Michael Chiesa and now that he is back in the win column he is ready to face top contenders.
Magny called out Khamzat Chimaev before but their fight couldn’t be booked, Khamzat Chimaev was supposed to face Leon Edwards but Khamzat got badly infected by Coronavirus and he almost decided to retire from the sport.
But after a lot of talking, he decided to get the proper check up and now he is ready to come back, and a while ago he posted a Tweet that says, “I’m fighting in August 170 lb September 185 lb November 170 lb December 185 lb be ready إن شاء الله. @danawhite @Mickmaynard2@seanshelby”
But there was no information about his opponent but it looks like Khamzat has found one, after Magny’s impressive performance he called him out via Twitter, he wrote, “@NeilMagny you’re fighting me next. Don’t run like chicken We will see who slaps who in the cage @danawhite”
“If he wants to come get an ass whipping this summer, let’s do it,” Neil Magny accepts Khamzat Chimaev’s offer
It looks like this fight is on, ESPN reporter Brett Okamoto, asked Magny about the fight offer and Magny is interested in this fight. Brett posted this on his Twitter handle, “I asked Neil Magny (@NeilMagny), is Khamzhat Chimaev (@KChimaev) a name that interests you? “Yes. If he wants to come get an ass whipping this summer, let’s do it.”
This will be an interesting match up as we will see what Khamzat can do against top level competitors, and Magny has already cemented himself as a worthy contender in the welterweight division, maybe after this victory he can start his title run and challenge the champ Kamaru Usman for the belt.
