Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic is known to make headlines for his dominating performances on the tennis court. However, the 37-year-old finds one way or the other to land himself in controversy as well. Most recently, Djokovic seems to have landed himself in trouble for his associations with rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

The American music mogul was arrested last week in Manhattan on the charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. He has been accused of participating in many crimes including arson, bribery, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice. Diddy allegedly held parties where his crimes would take place and Djokovic seems to have attended one of those parties.

In an interview in 2011, Djokovic was asked about Diddy coming to watch his match at the US Open. The Serbian, while answering, had mentioned a party that he could “not talk about details”. Djokovic then went on to hail the American “star” of “show business”.

Well, it was great to have him there. We met at one party that I cannot talk about details. (Laughter.) It was fun, you know. He's a huge star obviously in show business, and he's a character and a very successful man. So it was great to have him there. I think it was very interesting the way he supported me.
Novak Djokovic said about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

Now, with Diddy getting arrested, this old statement from Djokovic has gone viral on social media.
