New Buccaneers OLB Haason Reddick gets torched by Jets fans for calling his time in New York ‘bizarre’ and ‘weird’
Fans call out former linebacker Haason Reddick for not respecting the Jets for missing most of his time in New York and tried to pin the blame on Gang Green.

It didn’t take long for Haason Reddick to name-call his former team, the New York Jets. After signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the outside linebacker revealed that his time in New York was ‘bizarre’ and ‘weird.’
During his first press conference as a Buccaneer, Reddick went all out against the Jets, but at the same time, he reminded everyone that it’s last year’s news.
It’s a fresh start. Last year is last year. The only thing on my mind is moving, and I’m looking forward to the future, and I’m looking forward to what I can bring to the team here.

Jets fans lose their minds after Haason Reddick tries to pin the blame on the New York team
The Jets acquired Reddick in April last year by trading for a conditional 2026 mid-round selection. He attended the introductory press conference and said really nice things about his new team.
I’m happy to be around a group of guys like this. A talented roster. It’s going to be fun. I don’t think anybody’s ready for what’s about to happen.
Haason Reddick explained

However, the 30-year-old edge rusher disappeared completely, missing out on the mandatory mini-camp and not showing up for the training camp in July. As it turned out, he was in Asia, vacationing with his friends.
To make matters worse, Reddick asked for a trade away from the Jets with just a few weeks until the first game of the season. The frequent mood swings created rift between him and the Jets fan base.
Even the agency that represented Reddick and helped get him a contract with the Jets cut ties with him. The 2x Pro Bowler lost close to $10 million for his transgression for skipping the first seven games of the 2024 season. He forfeited $5.5 million of his $14.25 million base salary and was fined around $7 million.
With the Jets’ season in disarray, Jets owner Woody Johnson pleaded with Reddick to end the holdout and play. He started the remaining 10 games, recording just 14 tackles and one sack, his lowest total since 2019. His attitude left a sour taste in the mouths of the Jets fans.
So, when Reddick, instead of taking accountability for his actions, labeled his time with the Jets as ‘bizarre’ and ‘weird,’ Jets fans called him out.
Maybe show up to work and it won’t feel that way for you

Reddick did an introductory news conference (just like this) on April Fool’s Day and disappeared for the next six months, costing himself millions and probably a shot at a long-term contract. Bizarre, indeed. https://t.co/3FxuC51EmL

When you don't show up to work for 2 months and then perform like shit when you do I would call that bizarre as well. https://t.co/Gn6b7SNhSr

The lack of self accountability here is something else lol. If that's the case why was he outperformed by JJ and Will McDonald? https://t.co/LIYtxrzPy7

Sayonara, asshole. https://t.co/7ORrrR1nlL
He was the one that was Bizarre. He was traded to the Jets and he held out acting like he held the cards and Woody foolishly rewarded him by paying all his fined money and this is what the Jets fans get back in return this S**t head disrespecting a team that believe in him

Haason Reddick promised to give his best to the Buccaneers
It didn’t take too long for the Jets to cut Reddick after the disappointing 5-12 season. The former first-rounder signed a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers worth $14 million.
I know everybody is worried about last year, but last year is last year. I’m here now. Different mindset. Different space. Just ready to put the past behind me and continue to move forward, and what better place to do it than here?
Haason Reddick said via Pewter Report
Reddick’s year with the Jets could well turn out to be just a blip in his NFL career if he performs up to his standards in Tampa. He is still a quality player, and the numbers don’t lie. Reddick registered 50.5 sacks in four years with the Cardinals, Panthers, and Eagles (2020-23). The Buccaneers just need to keep tabs on him so they don’t go through the same experience as the Jets.
