New contenders emerge for the WWE NXT Championship

Balor, Dunne and O'Reilly challenge Kross

WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross has been on the look-out for a worthy opponent to challenge him for the title. On the latest episode of NXT, Karrion said that he felt that everyone was scared of him. But this led to an unfavorable situation for the NXT Champion.

Kross was attacked by 5 Superstars, who made it clear that they aren’t scared of him and want to challenge him. Finn Balor, Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne, Austin Theory and Johnny Gargano attacked Kross.

Kross was arguing inside the ring with KOR and Pete Dunne when Balor returned and punched him in the jaw. But Kross successfully fought back the three challengers.

Dunne wasn’t interested to het his hands on the Champion and attacked KOR instead. But soon all the four men started brawling and security was sent out to control them. One guard who tried to calm Kross down was hit by a Doomsday Saito.

But the Champion was attacked by NXT North American Champion, Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory. Kross tried to fight back, but was hit across the face with the North American title.

The NXT Championship currently has 5 challengers

Karrion Kross has a big target on his back, with no less than 5 Superstars coming after his title. Gargano and Theory have a score to settle with Kross, whereas Balor, O’Reilly and Dunne are after the top spot on the black and gold brand.

Next week, the NXT Championship will be on the line. Kross is set to defend the title against Austin Theory. We can expect a lot of interferences in the match, from the other contenders.
