The boxing fanbase is between a hard place and a rock regarding Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. On one side, the whole fan clique wants to see the consensus heavyweight icon return against a new and improved ‘Problem Child.’ On the other hand, a soon-to-be 58 Tyson does not instill much confidence, health-wise. A recent ulcer flare-up put the state of this match at a standstill; not anymore, though.

Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul will take shape before the end of the year. The venue stays the same. The 27-year-old and Tyson fight a pro-sanction boxing bout at the AT&T Stadium, which the Dallas Cowboys consequently call home. Most Valuable Promotions announced Friday that the postponed fight will now be held on Nov. 15th, with Netflix streaming the event live.

Our team has worked diligently, with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared...with equal training time, as well as allowing us to keep the event at AT&T stadium in the midst of the Cowboys season...We appreciate the outstanding dedication, collaboration, and flexibility of our partners at Netflix and AT&T Stadium.

While the Jake Paul vs. Tyson dynamic hasn’t worked its charm, MVP Co-founder Nakisa Bidarian still promotes this as the best cross-generational sporting event in history. With fear for Tyson’s regressing health coming true, the boxing bout was in shambles. Ariel Helwani (of MMAFighting on SBN) slammed Paul for not materializing a crossover stint with influencer KSI. Meanwhile, others pitched in their choices for replacements.

However, Paul took to his socials (@jakepaul) to confirm the date as well. He had caught a lot of flak for instigating that nothing had changed despite the jumpscare. David Close and Kevin Dotson of CNN reported that Tyson’s representatives had confirmed similarly that he was doing well. Now, even ‘Iron Mike’ has confirmed that the match is on again.

Mike Tyson releases emphatic press statement, says he’ll be ready

Paul, 9-1 (6KOs), credits his only blemish to Tommy Fury, a full-fledged seasoned boxer. His other opponents remain talents beyond their prime version. The pugilist often gets gibed down as not real enough for the trade he practices. Yet, Mike Tyson is the one fans are fearful for in this matchup. Per the legend’s request, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations sanctions this as a pro-bout. So, the stakes are much higher than usual.

With a sturdy collection of 50-6-1 stats and 44 career KOs, the Fort Greene, Brooklyn native remains a big name in boxing even now. Yet, when a cruiserweight influencer is the oddsmaker’s favorite than “Kid Dynamite,” things tend to get worrisome. Tyson recently had an airport ulcer flare-up that partially immobilized him in a drowsy state. However, he offers better tidings.

Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly. I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium...for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties...While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out. On Friday, Nov. 15, watch this in-person at AT&T Stadium or live on Netflix.

Since losing to February 2023, Paul has picked up three straight wins, with first-round knockouts of Andre August and journeyman Ryan Bourland. Whereas the former heavyweight champ fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition in 2020. His last genuine pro-sanction was Kevin McBride in 2005, which he lost.

From a lifelong 200lber to hedging the scale on heavyweight limits, Paul has surprisingly earned the nod of having an enormous edge. Tyson’s health problems are attributed to that as well. The global stage is set once again for this epic clash. “Iron Mike’s” safety remains a concern, lest there should be an injury. However, the news is sure to get some moniker of excitement going soon enough.
