The New York Knicks and their fans would never want to face one player in the NBA: Atalanta Hawks’ star Trae Young. Most recently, the Knicks played the Hawks at Madison Square Garden in the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup.

The Hawks and their star man Young exploited the home side. Under the intense spotlight of Madison Square Garden, the Hawks star had some fun with the mid-court logo. This happened as he dribbled out the clock during Wednesday night’s 108-100 NBA Cup quarterfinal victory against the Knicks, with Nevada in his sights.

The Hawks will play in the tournament’s semifinals this weekend in Las Vegas. However, what caught everyone’s attention was when Young stopped at the Knicks emblem. He picked up and rolled the dice as if he were playing the game of craps.

This was his way of signaling that he and the Hawks would play in Las Vegas next. With this, Young solidified his reputation as a villain in the eyes of New York fans.

Young is known for his stunts against the Knicks fans. Earlier this season, when the Knicks played Hawks away from home, Young did something similar. He told the Knicks fans to ‘take their a**es home.’

Now, after dropping 22 points, he sent the Knicks out of the NBA Cup, losing out on a $500,000 cash prize. Up next for the Hawks are the Milwaukee Bucks in the semifinals of the NBA Cup.

Knicks HC Tom Thibodeau blames poor officiating and NOT Trae Young for NBA Cup loss

The New York Knicks got knocked out of the NBA Cup in the quarterfinals by their arch-rivals, the Atlanta Hawks. Trae Young (22 points) starred against the Knicks. However, as per Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau, the ‘poor’ officiating by referee Jacyn Globe was what cost them this matchup.

I just looked at who was refereeing and I knew what it was going to be like.

Tom Thibodeau said after the game

Goble was one of the officials for Wednesday’s game. He was also the same official who called the ‘phantom foul’ on Jalen Brunson during the Knicks’ last-second loss to the Houston Rockets in February, as Knicks supporters may recall. The Knicks would eventually lose that game despite protesting the outcome.
