New Zealand women’s national team star Ali Riley revealed shocking pictures of her house, which has been burnt to the ground in the ongoing Palisades wildfire. The fire has impacted large parts of Los Angeles and its adjoining areas in Southern California.
Riley currently plays for Angel City FC in the US National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) as a defender. She has previously spent time at Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Orlando Pride. Riley posted pictures of the devastating wildfire that began earlier this week in the Pacific Palisades region. It has claimed ten lives and rendered more than 100,000 people homeless.
The 37-year-old defender and her fiance were among the population evacuated due to the blazing fire, as the LA firefighters keep battling on the front-line to douse the monstrous wildfire. The wildfire has blazed thousands of buildings to the ground, many in posh neighborhoods in the LA region. Ali Riley’s home was turned into rubble, as she shared pictures of her loss on social media.

An aerial image of her burnt-out house carried an emotional caption that read out that she was in her house a week ago, having dinner with her parents. She also shared drive-away video footage to depict how the houses in her picturesque neighborhood failed to escape the fire. LAFC legend Carlos Vela is the other high-profile footballer who lost his $4 million Malibu mansion in the Palisades fire.
Not just Riley and Vela, but several other celebrities also lost their houses. The list includes actors Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Taylor Swift and many more. American media personality Paris Hilton has also lost her house in the fire, which is spreading at an alarming rate.

Football fans and social media users extended their support to New Zealand women’s star and Angel City FC defender Ali Riley after her home got destroyed in the devastating Palisades wildfire.
A few fans expressed solidarity by labeling the incident as ‘heartbreaking’. Some other fans prayed and wished well for Riley and her family in the United States. Angel City FC fans and community members extended their support by urging to help her out during such a challenging period.

California governor Gavin Newsom most recently addressed the media about the situation. He delivered an emotional plea to the citizens of the state. People expressed concern over the disaster, as the fire has engulfed nearly 20,000 acres of land in California.
