Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to bowl first. SRH opener Abhishek Sharma played a knock of 65 runs off 42 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Aiden Markram also played a half-century knock of 56 runs off 40 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes.

And towards the end of the innings, Shashank Singh played a cameo role where on the last 3 balls of SRH’s innings, he skyed the ball for three consecutive sixes. He scored 25 runs off 6 balls with 1 four and the 3 sixes.

When GT were chasing the target, it was Umran Malik who hogged the limelight after celebrating like Dale Steyn. He performed SRH bowling coach Dale Steyn’s style after dismissing Shubman Gill.

“Umran will play international cricket, no doubt about that. He bowls at 150kmph consistently, and nobody else is doing that in the world right now, maybe Lockie Ferguson is the other guy who does it, but they are very different bowlers. But from an Indian point of view, he is the only guy that consistently bowls over 145-150kmph every single ball, so he will play for India. But how India manages him is completely up to them,” Dale Steyn has said while lauding Malik.
