Brazilian ace Neymar Jr. recently expressed his desire to reunite with former teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. This comes after various transfer rumors suggesting the Brazilian forward may join Inter Miami in the MLS. The 32-year-old forward has been linked with a move away from his current club, Saudi PL giants Al-Hilal.
Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr. and Luis Suarez formed one of football’s deadliest attacking trio during their time at Barcelona. They played together between 2014 and 2017, winning a UCL title, a FIFA Club World Cup and two La Liga crowns. The MSN trio also recorded an impressive 537 goal contributions. Neymar and Messi later departed Barca to spend time together at PSG for a couple of seasons.
While the Brazilian took the Saudi route to join Al-Hilal in 2023, Messi and Suarez reunited at MLS side Inter Miami. The duo successfully won the Supporters’ Shield this season. Meanwhile, Neymar has been enduring a turbulent time in the middle-east. In his two seasons, the 32-year-old forward has made just seven appearances. He is yet to recover from an ACL injury that he sustained a year ago.

Amid uncertainty surrounding his future, the injury-prone star spoke out on his desire to reunite with his two former Barca teammates and retrieve the iconic MSN trio. Neymar added that the trio still share a great bond and camaraderie between them.
Obviously, playing again with [Lionel] Messi and [Luis] Suarez would be incredible. They are my friends. We still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio… Football is full of surprises.

Therefore, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for the 32-year-old forward. In case he joins Inter Miami this summer, he would also reunite with four other former Barca teammates. It includes Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and newly appointed Herons’ boss Javier Mascherano.
