Is Aaron Rodgers all set to make a dream comeback? The legendary quarterback was ruled out after suffering an Achilles Tendon injury on the very first day as the New York Jets QB. Since then, Rodgers has gone through a tough recovery process.

The QB was spotted having surgery and later he was put into rehab. With almost three months of training, there are high chances that Rodgers might return very soon to the gridiron.

And who gave that indication? Rodgers himself. Zach Wilson led the Jets to loss against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday. After the game, Chargers player Derwin James asked Rodgers when he would return to the turf. This was a question every football fan wanted to ask.

Rodgers had a strong five-word answer.

Give me a few weeks.

It seemed that Rodgers was fully confident in doing what seemed almost impossible. Anyhow, the speculations are getting higher and higher that NFL fans will finally get to see some Aaron Rodgers magic since the maestro himself asserted his return within a week.

However, in a recent episode of the Pat McAfee show, the QB talked real about his comeback. The QB said that he had no idea that the moment was getting caught on camera. He also clarified that his return within a week is not possible.

I didn't realize that was gonna get caught there. Obviously, that was said with a little tongue in cheek there. It'd be nice to be back in a couple of weeks. That's probably not anywhere near a realistic timeline.

It was thought that Rodgers almost ended his career with that Achilles tendon injury. His return was looking impossible and since his age is 39, a lot of NFL enthusiasts had this understanding that he would announce his retirement soon. But Rodgers changed the equation with his aggressive and proactive rehab session.

For a couple of months, he was in rehab, and that helped him to have a steady recovery process. Ahead of the match against LAC,  Rodgers threw a 55-yard ball as a fanservice. He was also seen walking without his crutches. With all these, people thought that Rodgers had every possibility to make a comeback within a week. Nonetheless, the maestro himself denied that.

The Jets need Aaron Rodgers direly

There is hardly a doubt that the Jets camp is missing Aaron Rodgers. Due to his absence, the team continued with the backup quarterback Zach Wilson. Wilson is providing the best he could and was effective in a few matches but his overall performance is not up to the mark. The Jets are presently carrying a 4-4 record. With four wins and four losses, the playoffs are looking a bit difficult.

Rodgers on his part has admitted that it will indeed be sometime when he will be active.

But a couple is, could be a few, could be a lot, it's more of a phrase that didn't have a specific timetable. I joked a few weeks, but obviously, it's going to be more than a couple of weeks.

With Rodgers not returning to the field currently, it seems that the Jets have to continue with Wilson. It is to be seen whether he provides the best that is required of him.

The Jets will be going against the Las Vegas Raiders this week.
