Philadephia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has been pretty vocal about his departure from his former team Tennessee Titans. Like any other wideout, Brown too looked for a lucrative deal from the Titans as he entered the final year of his rookie contract. However, he said that the team offered him a low price.

Additionally, the Titans felt that Brown’s team was playing hardball during the contract extension. Brown also stooped communicating with the team and skipped out on practices until a new deal was reached. This behavior led to the Titans trading Brown to the Eagles.

A.J. Brown was selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft out of Ole Miss by the Tennessee Titans. Brown quickly rose to fame with his insane productivity and unmatched skills on the field. However, he was traded by the Titans during the 2022 NFL draft to the Eagles in exchange for their 18th overall pick in the draft.

Ever since his departure from Tennessee, it seems that Brown’s ego has been hurt which was evident when Deebo Samuel received a three-year deal worth $73.5 million, including a $58.1 million guaranteed massive extension from the 49ers. Brown’s draftmates, D.K. Metcalf and Terry McLaurin also received huge contract extensions, and looks like Brown was the only one left out. Brown signed a 4-year, $100 million contract with $57 million guaranteed.

Now that all’s said and done, the 25-year-old receiver said he wants to move on with the Eagles. “You know, it’s a business, and I’m not upset about the trade or anything because it is a business or whatever,” Brown told NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. “But to be honest, I just didn’t appreciate how it all went down, and they just kind of blamed me for it. I’m man enough to say that, however people may take it. But I have no bad blood with Tennessee. I’m moving forward. I’m happy to be here. But (there are) a lot of things people don’t know about, and they’re just pointing fingers at me. But that’s OK.”

Let’s see how A.J. Brown performs in Philadelphia and does he make the Titans regret passing him on or not. Brown and the Eagles will face the Titans on December 4 in Philadelphia.
