“That’s The Dumbest SH*T I’ve Heard”: Aaron Rodgers addresses Super Bowl BOYCOTT rumors on Pat McAfee Show
Aaron Rodgers is an absolute superstar in the world of the NFL. He has been nothing short of magnificent through the years for the Packers and he continues to lead the franchise in an emphatic fashion. However, recently, he has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons.
Some of the things Rodgers has said have done more harm than good to his reputation. His continuous commentary on vaccines has almost forced people to troll him. Recently, he was reprimanded even more when rumors surfaced that Rodgers want to end his association with the Packers. Some even claimed that the QB might threaten to boycott the Super Bowl as well.
“It’s so dumb, I will not even joke about it”: Aaron Rodgers on Super Bowl Boycott rumors
Addressing all such rumors, Rodgers had a lot to say on the Pat McAfee Show. “Mention me in a sentence, and use tag words like doctor, Vaccines, Covid, Ivermectin, Joe Rogan, and you are going to get some ratings. I have given a lot less f*cks about such pieces in the last couple of years,” Rodgers said.
“However, one thing I do give a major f*ck about is narratives about me, especially the ones which are so ridiculously off base. This one (Super Bowl Boycott rumor) was pure comedy to me, but when pure comedy becomes slightly more reputable and news outlets mention that, it becomes a bigger story, then comes a time when you have to end that,” Rodgers said.
He went on to mention that no one in his inner circle is talking to the media to give rise to such rumors. “No one that I trust, and care about and have a conversation with is talking to any media member,” he said, adding that although he likes to have a sense of humor, the rumor was so ridiculously stupid that it was past the point of making a joke about it.
Rodgers went on to add that although he doesn’t want to or like to respond to every other rumor out there about him, he felt that it was important to put an end to baseless reports about him not participating in the Super Bowl.
