Aaron Rodgers is a name to reckon with in the world of the NFL. He is surely one of the finest talents in the game at the moment, which is why he was named the MVP for the second consecutive year. However, as soon as Rodgers’ season ended for the Packers, speculations about his future started surfacing.

There were reports that he might even consider retirement. Although it appears like he is going to play the 2022 season, he hasn’t chosen a team as of yet. Not long ago, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport had claimed that Aaron is truly torn about where he wants to play in the coming season.

Ian had suggested that apart from the Packers, the Broncos are showing great interest in roping in Rodgers. In fact, Broncos GM George Paton had claimed that he is willing to “exhaust all options” to bring the best quarterback in his team. However, it seems like the Packers are not willing to let go of their best quarterback.

As per a report by ESPN, the Packers have offered a long-term contract to Aaron Rodgers which will transform the whole quarterback market. Moreover, the report further stated that the Packers would want a hefty amount in compensation if any team tries to get Rodgers in their side.

This further reduces the chances of Rodgers transferring to any other franchise. For now, Patrick Mahomes is the highest-paid quarterback in the league with a $450 million deal that has an average annual value of $45 million. It will be interesting to see what amount the Packers offer to Rodgers to make him stay with them.
