“Such a narrative leads people into believing that Rodgers is an a***ole”: Pat McAfee
Recently, renowned NFL reporter Dianna Russini claimed on the Rich Eisen show that Aaron Rodgers might have asked for a huge raise in order to stay with the Packers. According to her, Rodgers has demanded an amount in excess of $50 Million per year to play for Green Bay.
“From the conversations, I’ve had with a lot of people in the league, Rodgers wants to be the highest-paid player in the NFL, by a large margin. We are talking about $50 Million a year,” she said, adding that a lot of teams are waiting to see if the Packers are willing to give away so much money to him because in case the deal doesn’t work out, they’ll come up with their offers.
Pat McAfee claimed that he recently had a chat with Aaron Rodgers where he asked the star QB about such reports. “I texted him to ask about the reports claiming that he wants to become the highest NFL player by a wide margin and in response, he categorically denied all such reports,” Pat claimed.
Pat went on to add that even renowned experts quote Tweeted Dianna and ended up building a narrative against Rodgers, even without confirming if the reports were actually true or not. Pat went on to add that such a narrative leads people into believing that Aaron Rodgers is a big a***ole.
