After plenty of rumours, Tom Brady finally brought an end to his 22-year career in the NFL, by announcing his retirement from the game. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback announced his retirement a few days after his side failed to make further progress into the latter stages of the playoffs and eventually the Super Bowl.

However, Tom Brady’s former Bucs teammate, Antonio Brown believes that the 44-year old will return to the game. Brown, who had a mid-game meltdown, towards the end of 2021. Brown left the field dramatically against the New York Jets and was later on released by the franchise.

The actions of Antonio Brown was rumoured to have hurt his long time friend and compatriot, Brady and their relationship took a turn towards the worst ever since then.

Despite the strained relationship between them, Brown said that the future “Hall of Famer” quarterback will make eventually decide to unretire and it could come as soon as 2022.

When asked if he thinks Brady was “going to retire for good,” Brown replied, “Why would he do that?!”

It was not only Antonio Brown, who seems to believe that the quarterback has not retired for good, Brady’s Buccs teammate Rob Gronkowski has also predicted a return to the NFL despite his age.

“The guy can play at any age,’’ Gronkowski told USA Today. “If he’s 50 years old he can still come back. I think he’s going to come back in a couple of years. The guy’s a beast. He can play anytime.’’
