There has been a huge public outrage after many celebrities were spotted not wearing masks at the Superbowl on Sunday. The public has not taken this incident lightly and want strict action against the offenders.
Attendees were given mandated KN95 masks and everyone was required to wear them throughout the match at the SoFi stadium. It is a policy of the Los Angeles County which requires people in ‘mass gatherings’ to wear the masks to avoid spread of Covid 19.
Celebrities spotted without masks are being criticised heavily
Many celebrities were spotted without masks during the Superbowl between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. It has enraged the other fans who had to wear masks at all times during the game.
Many people have taken to social media platforms to voice their opinion. Some wrote that it was ‘hypocritical’ amd that the rules were different for VIPs and normal people.
Moreover a video was shared by a user on Twitter which showed Jennifer Lopez with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jay-Z and LeBron James without masks in the event which had almost 70,000 people attending.
“Here’s the video of every celebrity without a mask during the Super Bowl,“said the tweet. “But every kid in California will have to be wearing them tomorrow in school. They must all be holding their breaths the entire game.”
“Apparently COVID can’t touch you if you drop five-grand on Super Bowl tickets. But tomorrow morning, school children – for whom COVID is nearly 100% survivable – will wear masks for eight hours. Science,” said another.
Another wrote- “My students all have to wear masks all day tomorrow, inside and outside of their classrooms because we are in LA County. Same place as the Super Bowl. But not a mask in sight here.”
