“As bad as AB’s walkout” – Fans hilariously troll Vernon Hargreaves for costing his team a penalty while being inactive

Vernon Hargreaves walks on to the field to celebrate costing the Bengals 10 yards

The LA Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, the two sides that surpassed all expectations and made their way to the Super Bowl were bound to set up an entertaining clash which is exactly what is transpiring. One just can’t afford to blink as the high-octane action is on at the SoFi Stadium.

It’s halftime now and the Rams are leading 13-10. Both the teams are giving their best as they chase one another to claim the ultimate prize — Super Bowl LVI trophy.

Vernon Hargreaves was inactive for the Super Bowl and still caused the Bengals a penalty

A funny incident occurred towards the end of the second quarter. The Bengals cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III is inactive due for the Super Bowl but still managed to cost Cincinnati a penalty. In the second quarter, Bengals DB Jessie Bates picked off Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in the end zone. The Bengals got a touchback out of it, but then Hargreaves ran on the field to celebrate in the end zone with his teammates.

Everyone has to agree this was a stupid move by Hargreaves. He should’ve known better than to come out on the field and celebrate as his enthusiasm cost Cincinnati a flag for an illegal celebration. The penalty yardage was half the distance to the end zone and so the Bengals were stuck starting at the 10 instead of the 20.

Due to the penalty, the Bengals couldn’t manage to put up some more points before halftime and they had to punt back to the Rams with 30 seconds left in the second quarter.

Fans are furious over Vernon Hargreaves’ inappropriate behavior that cost Cincinnati Bengals yardage
