The NFL postseason is finally about to commence. The Wild Card round of the playoffs is going to start on Saturday, 15 January. The Pittsburgh Steelers, the No.7 seed in the AFC will face the mighty Kansas City Cheifs who are the No.2 seed in the AFC.

This postseason is set to be the last of Steelers’ QB, Big Ben. Ben Roethlisberger did not speak in definites and guarantees but this is going to be the last season of the 39-year-old quarterback. The Steelers are 20-points underdogs heading into the Wild Card game against the Chiefs.

Big Ben had an interesting response to the Steelers making it to the playoffs and facing the Chiefs. “As a group, you understand that we probably aren’t supposed to be here. We’re probably not a very good football team. Out of 14 teams, I think are in, we’re probably number 14…. We don’t have a chance, so let’s just go in and have fun.”

Nick Wright praised Big Ben on his aforementioned statement on the show, First Things First and said that their encounter shouldn’t have to take place at all. “That is a savvy, smart individual and he gets it, he understands what happening here”, said Wright. “They are the biggest underdogs in Wild Card history. This is the single biggest mismatch in Wild Card weekend history.”

Nick Wright also pointed out that since the Chiefs don’t get a bye week because of their No.2 position, they should bench star players for their matchup against the Steelers. Wright said, “If I were Andy Reid, I would consider resting Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill this week. Make sure they are primed and ready to go for when the playoffs actually begin.”

Wright bolstered his argument by stating that Chiefs’ star TE, Travis Kelce did not start against the Steelers in Week 16. Also, wide receiver Tyreek Hill did not play a lot of snaps in the game. Wright said that despite missing out on their star players, Kansas City Chiefs still managed a victory against the Steelers (36-10). According to Nick Wright, the Chiefs should not risk injuring their star players against the Steelers.

Kansas City Chiefs will face the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night.
