“His best chance to win a Super Bowl is with…”: Brett Favre reflects on Aaron Rodgers’ decision to stay with the Packers
Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest QBs in the game at the present which is why he was named the MVP for the second consecutive year. However, as soon as Rodgers’ season ended for the Packers, speculations about his future started surfacing.
Some opined that he wants to opt for another franchise, whereas some were saying that he is asking for a huge amount from the Packers to stay with the squad. Finally, Rodgers cleared the air by accepting that he will continue to play for Green Bay in 2022.
“I assume that Aaron Rodgers’ objective is to get to the Super Bowl”: Brett Favre
Officially announcing that he will stay with the team, Aaron had recently tweeted, “Hey everyone, just wanted to clear some things up; YES I will be playing with the Packers next year, however, reports about me signing a contract are inaccurate, as are the supposed terms of the contract I ‘signed’. I’m very excited to be back.”
Talking about Rodgers’ decision, Hall of Famer Brett Favre had a few things to say on the SiriusXM podcast. “I assume that Aaron’s objective is to get to the Super Bowl. I think most people would assume that as well,” Favre said. “That being said, his best chance to get to the Super Bowl has been in Green Bay the last two years.“
“They’ve written the script the way they’ve wanted it to look and they didn’t finish it. Home-field advantage, a bye, a prolific offense, their defense was playing well. Why deviate from that?” he added. It will be interesting to see how Rodgers performs this season.
Although his team has been consistently good in the last three seasons, they haven’t been able to cross the lines in crunch playoff games. 2022 might just turn out to be their year.
