Not long ago, renowned NFL reporter Dianna Russini claimed on the Rich Eisen show that Aaron Rodgers might have asked for a huge raise in order to stay with the Packers. According to her, Rodgers has demanded an amount in excess of $50 Million per year to play for Green Bay.
She also stated that a lot of franchises are keeping an eye on the deal as they are interested in roping Aaron into their respective units. However, Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst has stated that not a single GM from any other franchise has contacted him to discuss trade possibilities regarding Rodgers.
Green Bay Packers beat reported Tom Silverstein recently took to Twitter to inform about what Brian told him during a chat. “Asked Packers GM Brian Gutekunst how many GMs had nudged him to ask the price for QB Aaron Rodgers or told him to keep them in mind if he decides on a trade. “Not a one,” he said. Really? Not one? ‘Not one,'” he posted.
It will be interesting to see where Rodgers ends up before the start of the 2022 season.
