The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a rather dramatic offseason this time around. However, what has happened in the Bucs camp over the past few weeks has left innumerable NFL fans scratching their heads in disbelief as the dose of drama has broken all records.

First, the Bucs were ecstatic as their star QB Tom Brady decided to take the field after announcing his retirement just weeks ago. Then there were speculations about Brady’s possible rift with head coach Bruce Arians which everyone in the Bucs camp denied and finally, it all ended with Bruce deciding to call it quits.

Arians abruptly decided to give up the position of the Bucs’ head coach which raised a lot of questions. “I have spent most of the last 50 years of my life on the sidelines as a football coach in one form or another,” Arians had said in his statement released by the team.

Arians went on to claim that his relationship with Brady was great and stated that he called it quits even after the Bucs were shaping up nicely so that Todd Bowles can have a legitimate chance of winning the title. Most recently, Arians showered praise on Bucs’ offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.

According to NFL.com, Arians stated that Leftwich deserves a lot more credit for his contribution to Bucs’ success and added that Byron came very close to landing a head coach job with the Jaguars. “I really thought Leftwich was going to be the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars this year,” Arians said.

Got so, so close. Yeah, it’s on the horizon for him. He’s the star,” Arians added. Indeed, Leftwich’s arrival in the Bucs camp in 2019 has added greatly to the overall strength of the unit. It will be interesting to see if he can get a chance to become a head coach for an NFL franchise in the future.
